We’re spending a little time getting to know more about Dan, our Electrical Project Manager. Dan has been with us for just over three years at Senate and we felt it was time to find out a little more about the man himself. We asked Dan a few quick-fire questions:
Dan, tell us a little bit more about what you do at Senate in your role as an Electrical Project Manager and what a typical day is like for you.
“Well, every day is different and depending on what projects we’re working on, it usually means I’m involved in some shape or form. It may start with me holding a meeting in our head offices on the Liverpool Docks or it could mean that I need to meet with clients on site. I love nothing more than getting my hands dirty, just because I’m seen as the Electrical Project Manager, it doesn’t mean that I don’t get involved – it’s the best way to understand the client’s requirements”.
What do you enjoy most about working at Senate?
“Variety is probably the thing I love the most about my job and working at Senate. As a company, we carry all of the trades and therefore we can be working on mechanical projects one week and then helping with the construction side of the business. I love being able to work so closely with so many different people, all with a shared approach to their work. We always pride ourselves on being into the detail, without the detail you can’t see the wider picture”.
Finally, Dan, can you tell us something that no one else knows about you?
Ha ha ha, ok this is something that isn’t widely known about me, especially amongst my work colleagues but now it feels only right to share this… I am really good at handstands – almost expert I’d say!
